Formula Student Team UTM

Where were we in June 2025?

June was marked by adrenaline and our active involvement in local motorsports. On June 15, we were in the stands alongside the drivers of the National Drift Championship, where we had the opportunity to closely examine the cars prepared for competition and the technical solutions used in drifting. Later, on June 29, we moved to the starting line at Drag Day, a pure speed competition where every fraction of a second counts.

For the Formula Student Team UTM, these events represent the place where engineering meets the community’s passion.

Why was the June 29 event special?

This edition of Drag Day held special significance, as it was organized in memory of Denis Șurganov. The atmosphere was one of respect and solidarity, reminding everyone present that motorsport is, above all, about the people who bring it to life.

The Formula Student Team UTM chose to be there to honor this legacy and to support friends who competed in the name of their shared passion for speed.

Why did we choose to be there?

Supporting motorsports in Moldova is a priority for us. We strongly believe that the path to performance begins with solidarity among teams and enthusiasts.

We took advantage of the presence of many enthusiasts and professionals to present the Formula Student Team UTM’s vision and to seek new sponsors who resonate with our project. We explained to our partners that an investment in our team is, in fact, an investment in the future of specialists who will raise the standards of automotive engineering in Moldova to an international level.

We leave these events with the promise that our competitive spirit and openness to new sponsorships will turn every discussion in the paddock into a real step toward the success of our next single-seater.

How did we make our mark in the community?

Participating in Dynamic Moldova Drift and Drag Day was a strategic opportunity to establish the Formula Student Team UTM’s position on the local motorsports scene. We integrated the team into the real dynamics of the competitions, successfully establishing valuable connections with professionals and future partners.
