How did European Researchers’ Night 2025 unfold at the university?
On September 26, 2025, the university campus became the epicenter of applied science and technology, hosting European Researchers’ Night 2025—a major event dedicated to promoting innovation and research in the Republic of Moldova. Held on the campus of the Technical University of Moldova, the event brought together hundreds of visitors, high school students, college students, and engineering enthusiasts, offering an interactive platform for scientific presentations and hands-on technology exhibits.
For the Formula Student Team UTM, participating in this special evening was more than just a simple appearance; it was an excellent opportunity to present the results of their workshop work to the academic community and to demonstrate how engineering theory is transformed into technical reality.

What technical achievements were presented to the public, and what materials were used to build them?
Beyond the event’s educational role, we presented clear evidence of our technical progress to the public. We chose to showcase our project right on the UTM campus, bringing to visitors’ attention a key mechanical component of the single-seater.
By that point, the team had completed a critical component for the vehicle’s operation:
• The steering mechanism – a system designed and built entirely by the team. The technical uniqueness of this component lay in the manufacturing process: the mechanism was made from readily available materials and scrap resources that were on hand at the time, right in our workshop.

What impact did our presence have, and what results did we achieve following the exhibition?
The direct interaction at the booth provided the Formula Student Team UTM with immediate validation of the effort put into the workshop, strengthening the cohesion between members of the technical and marketing departments. The explanations offered to visitors regarding the calibration of parts made from residual materials demonstrated the team’s engineering maturity and flexibility in solving complex technical problems.
Discussions with motorsport enthusiasts and potential new recruits allowed us to expand our network of contacts, paving the way for future technical collaborations and motivating the team to accelerate the development of the next stages of the single-seater.
